OBJECTIVE: To impart the basic knowledge and techniques required to sharpen knives efficiently and economically on whetstones. This class is designed for professional cooks and anyone interested in sharpening a variety of knives (Japanese, Western, hunting and fishing, etc.).

HOW IT WORKS :

First part of the session (1h30):

Second part of the session (1h30):

Participants will then be invited to put into practice the elements transmitted in the first part by sharpening various knives (your own knives or practice knives provided). The instructor will guide participants through this practical part according to the type of knives and particular needs.

The course given by Philippe was very enriching! A complete theoretical component, many stuff and Philippe adapted the course for each person, according to their strengths and skills. Really $ 75 well invested ...
The prices in stores are very reasonable compared to the competition.

Informative and useful

Content more than interesting, given in small group so good follow -up with each participant. You really learn to sharpen your knives yourself, which makes a difference at home thereafter. After the technical portion, everyone has their equipment and practices at the same time as Philippe who checks the understanding of each person because group very small each time. All the equipment is on sale in his shop. I loved it and I use the learning of this day every week to maintain the edge of my knives. One of the most useful gifts that my wife gave me.

Tremendous

I followed a lot of training, of all kinds. That offered by Philippe stands out from many others. The installation, the technical means used, its remarks, the limited group of participants and especially its attention to our receptivity are the ingredients of the quality of the time spent in its workshop. I just have to put into practice the learned technique.
